The companies introduced the Caribbean’s first self-integrated contactless kiosk solution last year that includes Bluefin as a validated P2PE provider, PowerTranz as a Card Present payment gateway/processor, and NRT kiosks that use the 6500 unattended Advanced Mobile Payments devices.
Bluefin, Powertranz and NRT partnered with acquirer Scotiabank to develop a solution for C&W Communications, the Caribbean’s leading telecommunications and entertainment provider, which included payment application development, device in kiosk software and device certification with Fiserv for Mastercard, VISA, Discover and AMEX. C&W Communications operates over 100 NRT-Opal bill payment kiosks in 14 Caribbean countries.
The solution now supports the JETS MultiLink debit card in Jamaica, a vital part of the financial landscape. JETS Limited is an electronic banking services company operating Jamaica’s national debit card network with the registered service mark “MultiLink”. All JETS member institutions, as issuers, offer their customers access to cash from their own accounts through the MultiLink network, whether at ATMs or point-of-sale terminals. MultiLink supports over one million users who use it to attract over $85 billion annually.

C&W and its partners are rolling out 50 self-service kiosks across Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, and will continue to roll out additional self-service kiosks in their respective Caribbean markets.
The solution will also support Trinidad and Tobago LINX debit cards later this month. InfoLink Services, the LINX debit card switching operator, is a joint venture between the four major financial institutions in Trinidad and Tobago and was created to provide local debit card switching infrastructure. The LINX Debit Smart Card is a co-branded LINX/Visa debit card.
